AusRAIL 2012 Agenda Preview

June is the month that sees the AusRAIL agenda come together.

AusRAIL eNews has the inside track on three of the papers being prepared for the conference program which will be delivered on the afternoon of the 27th November.

The IRSE has accepted a submission from the ARTC and Lockheed Martin to deliver an update on their Advanced train management system. The session in November will provide the latest on the projects status, objectives and status as well as an insight into the lab and field based test results. Speakers:

As part of the RTAA call for papers process Frank Johnson, and Julian Sharp of the Glenfield Junction Alliance are preparing a paper on the Glenfield Southern Junction Flyover. The paper and presentation will provide the audience with an insight into the key role of methods planning in the successful construction of the Southern Flyover for the Glenfield Transport Interchange, the first stage of the NSW Government’s South West Rail Link project.

The RTSA stream will feature a presentation based on a paper from Michael Magney, examining the Northern Sydney Freight Corridor Program. The paper discusses the process that was undertaken to find the best solution to address the issues facing the transportation of freight on the Main North Line, and prepare the line for the anticipated tripling of the current freight task over the next 10 years.
