AusRAIL PLUS 2011 functions
Just 4 weeks to go till AusRAIL PLUS 2011. We're super busy here at AusRAIL central, we're excited and we're counting down to it!
To keep you guys updated on the social functions that we have for you:
AusRAIL PLUS 2011 Conference Welcome Reception
When: Monday 21st November 2011 | 4:30pm-6.30pm
Where: At the delegate conference registration area outside Exhibition Hall 1
Dress: Smart casual
Available to: Conference delegates and speakers only
The Welcome Reception is your chance to register early for AusRAIL and beat the queues that inevitably form on the morning of the first day. If you are based in Brisbane or are just arriving early, come down to the Convention Centre, pick up your conference material and enjoy a relaxed drink with your peers. Attendance at this function is highly recommended for a stress free first morning at AusRAIL the next day!

AusRAIL PLUS 2011 Exhibition Networking Drinks
When: Tuesday 22nd November 2011 | 5.30pm-7.30pm
Where: Exhibition Hall, Brisbane Convention Exhibition Centre
Dress: Business attire
Available to: Conference delegates, speakers, exhibition stand staff and VIPs
The largest function held at AusRAIL the Exhibition Networking Drinks sees 2000 rail industry representatives congregate on the exhibition floor for two hours of networking and to properly soak up the variety of stands and companies on display. Starting straight after the conclusion of Day One’s conference sessions it’s a great place to start the evening and confirm your dinner plans for later!

AusRAIL PLUS 2011 RTAA Yellow Tie Dinner *we have tseen the tie and scarf design and it looks great!*
When: Wednesday 23rd November 2011 | 7:00pm-11:00pm (Pre-dinner drinks to be served 6.30pm - 7.00pm)
Where: The Plaza Ballroom, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre
Dress: Business attire (no need to wear a tie, as you will be given a yellow tie (for the men) or scarf (for the ladies) on arrival)
The traditional Yellow Tie Dinner is held every two years during the larger AusRAIL PLUS. A unique social gathering where each attendee receives a yellow tie or scarf there is as much discussion about what the design will be this year in the build up to the event, as there is on the night itself. Known as the industries talk-fest and the larger of the two AusRAIL dinners, you’re the odd one out if you’re not there.

AusRAIL PLUS 2011 Gala Dinner
When: Thursday 24th November 2011 | 7:00pm - 11:00pm
Where: Ascot Enclosure Lawn, Eagle Farm Racecourse
Dress: Black tie
The rail industry’s night of glamour, the black tie Gala Dinner is the traditional close to AusRAIL. A fantastic evening which sees the presentation of the industry awards of excellence, this year it will begin in the heart of Brisbane on a specially chartered train which departs from South Bank, calls at Central and then whisks delegates off to Eagle Farm for dinner under the stars in a purpose build clear roofed marquee.
